The cooking sessions that The Tesco Stronger Starts, blue token funding has made an enormous difference to our Rochdale Young Carers, in teaching them how to prepare and cook food, healthy eating and what it takes to have a balanced diet.

We had some lovely feedback from our Young Carers, which shows what a significant difference these cooking sessions have made. I think their words show what a positive impact the cooking sessions had on them, and how they felt much more confident in cooking the recipes at the end of the session.

We have all found Linda from Speaking of Food CIC to be exceptional in her presentation of these cooking sessions. She was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT with the kids. Her communication with us in organising these sessions has been brilliant – she listened and got exactly what we wanted to deliver to the young people.

We found Speaking of Food to be 100% reliable, and totally professional. This was a complicated brief to deliver as we wanted the young people to take home all the ingredients each week to make at home, Linda made everything we wanted happen effortlessly!
